Mental Health Week

Paying attention to mental health in the workplace has never been more important, and Mental Health Awareness month is a prime time to discuss how it may be affecting you, your staff and your business. This month provides an ideal platform for you to kickstart your commitment to the health and wellbeing of your employees. For a lot of us, work is a huge part of our lives. We spend the majority of our time working. Mental health is something that we all have and it doesn’t always stay the same. Just like our physical health, our mental health can be impacted by factors that are out of our control. It fluctuates through the different stages in our lives. Mental health can affect people in many different ways and it is key to understand an individual’s experience. There is evidence that workplaces with high levels of mental wellbeing are more productive, with increases by as much as 12%, and that’s what we all want. Discussing mental health can be daunting as we still face a world where people with mental health problems face discrimination and challenged getting the help they need. This is why it is so important to create a workplace where colleges can be themselves and feel comfortable to reach out for help when it’s needed The following links are particularly informative and helpful, take a look to learn more about how you can help improve your employees well being:
